It’s been a long fall, a long winter, and a long spring. But, after a few weeks of warm weather the warm water species are beginning to bite. A month ago we still had ice on our lakes and people were still ice fishing. Today I literally took a swim after catching a musky and releasing it in the water as I was so hot.
Life is good - fishing is good. I am posting two pictures in this update - one of a 20 inch monster smallie I caught on May 22nd and another great musky I caught today (May 24th). Both of these fish were unexpected and VERY welcome. The musky smoked my lure a foot from the raft and was an awesome spectacle.
I am so happy to be out fishing - I hope you all are as excited as I am.
